Recipe - Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
Looking for the perfect chocolate chip banana recipe? This is it! When I was pregnant with Winn all I wanted to do was bake and I was determined to create the perfect banana muffin, so after lots of trial and error this is my version. Let me know what you think!
Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
Preheat oven to 375°F and line muffin tins.
Muffins:
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 ripe mashed bananas
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
In a large bowl mix, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In second bowl beat together bananas, sugar, egg, cinnamon and melted butter. Combine ingredients until mixture is slightly moist and fold in the chocolate chips. Spoon into muffin tin approximately 3/4 of the way full.
Topping:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Combine all above ingredients to create a crumble. Sprinkle over the top of the muffins. This will crisp up in the oven and make for the yummiest bakery-style-top muffins. Bake in the oven on the center rack for 15-18 minutes.
