Hi, and thanks for visiting! My name is Kaitlyn Harris and I'm the designer behind Decorating Life.


My husband and I live in Calgary, Alberta (Canada). I'm a mother to two sweet kids – Winnie (age 6), Cashton (age 4) and our Yorkie pup Tucker.


Decorating Life is about more than just the home you live in, its about how spaces make you feel - I believe in decorating all aspects of your life! I'm passionate about hosting parties and sharing my DIY projects on Instagram. I'm available to discuss select interior design projects or partnerships / collaborations.

Interior Design

I enjoy mixing rustic elements such as wood with refined textures like marble and glass. A little rustic. Lots of glam.

Showhomes

I have top-to-bottom designed and furnished over 30 showhomes as both an employee and a freelancer. Much of my career was spent in the building industry, working with homebuyers, customizing builds and designing show-homes.

I'm a crafty mom of two that loves do-it-yourself projects! With my designer-to-be daughter at my side, you'll see me setup parties, cook fun new recipes, bake delicious treats and try to have fun every day of my life!
